Berkshire Beaders

A beading group based in Theale, Berkshire, who meet regularly once a month and for occasional workshops.

What can you do for your club?

The first thing we need everyone's co-operation for is collecting the key to the hall. Please make sure we don't bother the keyholders too much, but also don't leave yourself or others out in the cold car park!

If you are the first person to arrive, don't go for the key straight away.

When the second person arrives, tell them you are going for the key - this means that only one person goes to collect it and the keyholders don't have several people turning up when the key is already gone.

The keys are kept at 3 Station Road. The house number is hard to see, but there is a small wishing well in the garden to the left of the front door. Station Road can be clearly seen on the linked map or on the reverse of the flyer - Station Road is almost opposite Englefield Road and up the side of the pub in the High Street. Please say you are from Berkshire Beaders.

While the committee do the bulk of the work, we're always looking for people who can help out with a few things.

  • Can you help with refreshments? We need someone to volunteer for taking the tea, coffee and biscuits and bringing them to the meetings. Don't worry if you can't do it all the time, as we can arrange a rota of people.
  • Would you like to spread the word about Berkshire Beaders? Ask Giulia for some flyers that you can use.
  • Want to help keep printing and postage costs down? Just give us your email address and we'll email the regular newsletter to you.
  • Want to contribute to the newsletter? If you have a letter, article, hint or experience you want to tell others about, or even just a question, contact Linda who is always looking for material.
  • Want to talk about or teach a favourite technique? Feel free to come forward and show others how it's done by doing a pattern or presentation for a meeting.

If you have any questions about the club, please feel free to contact us.
